Mamie Lee Perry, daughter of the late Washington Casper “W.C.” and Bessie Eaves Darby, was born in East Prairie, Missouri on November 26 1926, and passed away at the Cypress Point Nursing Center in Dexter, Missouri on April 2, 2016, at the age of 89 years, 4 months and 7 days.
Mrs. Perry had lived in the Bloomfield area most of her life. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield. She had worked for 43 years at Elder Manufacturing in Bloomfield.
On October 12, 1946, she was married to Eugene “Gene” Perry in Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on March 15, 2011.
Surviving are one son & wife, Alan & Diane Perry of Bridgeton, Missouri; two grandchildren, Mark and Matthew Perry both of St. Louis, Missouri; two great grandchildren, Jamison & Cameron Perry both of St. Louis, Missouri; one sister, Mildred McClellan of Fayetteville, North Carolina. Many other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Lou Kesterson, one brother, Carl Darby, Sr.; and two half-sisters, Delma Moise and Quilla Force
Friends may visit from 10:00 am until12:00 pm on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at 12:00 pm at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri with the Rev. Ronnie Stevens of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri. Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.
