Mamie Alice Gibson Campbell, the daughter of the late William E. and Bertha Coats Wader, was born in Dexter, Missouri on January 17, 1926, and passed away at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee on February 10, 2009 at the age of 83 years and 24 days. Mrs. Campbell had lived in Dexter, Missouri all her life. She was retired from the Hat Factory where she had been a seamstress and had attended the First Assembly of God Church in Dexter. She was first married to Joseph Stewart and he preceded her in death. She was later married to James L. Gibson in Southbend, Indiana and he preceded her in death. Surviving are one daughter, Hope Gibson of Kennett, Missouri; three sons, Patrick E. Stewart of Birmingham, Alabama, Roy Stewart of Mobile, Alabama, Timothy Stewart of Granite City, Illinois; nine grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Joann Stewart; two sons, Jimmie Lee and Billy Joe Stewart; four sisters, Dorothy Phillips, Gladys Wilburn, Lorene Eaton and Irene Carter. Friends may call on Friday, February 13, 2009, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2009, at 10:00 AM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Dean Williams of Dexter, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
