Mae Mayberry, daughter of the late John Willie and Rhoda Steward Moore, was born in Clines Island, Missouri on July 3, 1924, and passed away at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield, Missouri on October 3, 2015, at the age of 91 years and 3 months.
She had lived in the Bloomfield area all of her life. She was a member of the Bible Tabernacle in Bloomfield. She had began working with her family in the family saw mill, worked at Elder Manufacturing, Golden Living Center, Puxico Nursing Center, and was a baby sitter.
On May 14, 1940, she was married to Orville Sylvester Mayberry. He preceded her in death on December 25, 1982.
Surviving are one Grandson and wife, Warren & Krista Gross of Dexter, Missouri; two great grandchildren, Peyten Ryan Gross and Allyssa Danielle Gross both of Dexter; and one nephew, Smokey Moore of Bloomfield. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Melba Mae Gross, one brother, Fred Moore, and three sisters, Dora Jewell Mayberry, Mildred Roberson and Dorothy Metz.
Friends may visit on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. of officiating.
Interment will follow at the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
