Lula Nichols, daughter of Alfred LaunceLot and Harriet Anna McElroy Barker, was born in Shelbyville, Illinois on April 15, 1935 and passed away at the St. Lukes Hospital in Chesterfield, Missouri on January 25, 2013, at the age of 77 years.
She had lived most of her life in St. Louis, Missouri. She was of the Protestant Faith, and was a Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star Kirkwood Chapter 358.
On April 27,1951 she was married to Walter Nichols in Dexter, Missouri.
Surviving include her husband, two daughters, Debra Nichols Wirt of St. Charles, Missouri and Donna Sellers Sheffer of St. Peters, Missouri; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Allie Arlene Myatt of Paragould, Arkansas. Other family and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, Timothy Nichols Sr. and his son Timothy Nichols Jr. three brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 4:00 P.M. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Roger Wooten of Dexter, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri .
