Lowell "John" Green, son of the late Clarence Alvin and Nellie Creed Green, was born in Fairview, Missouri on October 13, 1924, and passed away at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield, Missouri on July 21, 2009, at the age of 84 years, 9 months and 8 days.
Mr. Green had lived in the Bloomfield area all of his life. He was a retired Distributor with Chrisman Oil. He attended the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield. and was a lifetime member of the Amvets Post in Bloomfield, He was a WWII veteran of the U. S. Army.
On January 11, 1947, he was married to Alleen Alberta Fowler in Piggott, Arkansas.
Surviving are his wife, Alleen Alberta Green of Bloomfield, Missouri; two daughters and sons in law, Marilyn & David Jackson of Dudley, Missouri, Joyce & Melvin Potillo of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; three grandchildren & spouses, Mike & Tiffany Potillo of Las Vegas, Nevada, Julie & Matt Richardson of Bloomfield, Missouri, Erin & Larry Brown of Dexter, Missouri; five great grandchildren, Alexandra, Tres, Gracen, Kale & Sophia; three sisters & brother in law, Mona Evans of Puxico, Missouri, Ernestine & Sterling Button and Ethel Blue all of St. Louis, Missouri; and two sisters in law, Hilda Green of Bloomfield, Missouri and Noram Gisi of Dexter, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother in infancy, Forrest Green and brother, E. V. "Vern" Green.
Friends may call on Thursday July 23, 2009, after 11:00 AM at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 23, 2009, at 1:00 PM in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Kevin Eskew of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the West Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri with full military rites. Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
