Louis "Bud" Buchanan, son of the late William Howard and Meta Louise Ahrens Buchanan, was born in Puxico, Missouri on July 29, 1931, and passed away at the Puxico Health & Rehab Center in Puxico, Missouri on February 4, 2010, at the age of 78 years, 6 months and 6 days. He had lived in the Puxico area all his life. He was a life time livestock and row crop farmer. He was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church near Puxico and had been the sexton of the Fairview Cemetery for several years. His favorite hobby was hanging out at BJ's. Surviving are one sister, Martha Norris of Puxico, Missouri; two nephews and spouses, Art & Sandy Norris of Puxico, Missouri, Dale & Danetta Noris of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; two nieces and spouses, Kathy & John Ginn of Puxico, Misouri, Mary & Eddie Barnhill of Charleston, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother, William Buchanan. Visitation will be Friday, February 5, 2010, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri. Services will be held Saturday, February 6, 2010, at 2:00 PM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico with Rev. Dennis Doublin of Puxico, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery near Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
