Lotus L. Wilkison

Lotus L. Wilkison, daughter of the late Bryan O. and Dorothy Shoemate McClure, was born in Puxico on November 29, 1926, and passed away at the Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Center in Dexter on November 14, 2016, at the age of 89 years, 11 months and 16 days. Mrs. Wilkison had lived in the Puxico area all of her life. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Puxico, was a life member of the Eastern Star, the Thursday Culture Club and lifetime member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary. She had worked in the insurance business and she and her husband had also operated a tax business. On July 5, 1944, she married Monroe D. Wilkison in Corning, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on January 3, 1996. Surviving are one daughter & husband, Neisha & Gary Trentelman of Wylie, Texas; two sons and wives, Rick & Kathy Wilkison of Prattville, Alabama, Ed & Sharon Wilkison of Titusville, Florida; twelve grandchildren; many great & great great grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother, Marvin O. McClure. Friends may call on Sunday, November 20, 2016, from 6.00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico. Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 1.00 at the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico with interment to follow. Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
