Loman Hartline
Loman Hartline, the son of the late William and Pearl Pruett Hartline, was born in Dexter, Missouri on October 23, 1924, and passed away at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Missouri on March 9, 2005, at the age of 80 years, 4 months and 14 Days.
Mr. Hartline was a life long resident of Dexter and was of the Baptist Faith. He served in the US Army during WWII and earned a silver star and five bronze stars.
He was first married to Bertha Yeager on August 13, 1949, she preceded him in death on September 8, 1975. He then married Ruby Malloy in April of 1976, she preceded him in death on March 23, 1992.
Surviving are three sons: Lloyd Estes of Broomfield, Colorado, Jim Hartline of Dexter, Missouri, David Hartline of Wichita, Kansas, three daughters: Joanne Mangum and Beverly Courter both of Dexter, Missouri, Barbara Ray of Independence, Missouri, fourteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, three brothers: Frank Hartline and John Hartline both of Batesville, Arkansas, Dale Hartline of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, three sisters: Emma Holland and Doris Darby both of Batesville, Arkansas, and Helen Harrington of Locust Grove, Arkansas. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one sister: Margie McGowan.
Friends may call at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, March 12, 2005, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2005, at 2:00 PM in the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Jean Holland of Batesville, Arkansas officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with full Military rites. Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
