Lola M. Reynolds of Washington, Missouri, daughter of the late Thomas Allen and Minnie Bell Allen Stafford, was born on September 5, 1921, in Swinton, Missouri and passed away at the Cedar Crest Manor in Washington, Missouri on January 17, 2018, at the age of 96.
On September 6, 1938, she was married to Virgil Harl Reynolds. He preceded her in death.
Lola Reynolds was a wife and mother who devoted most of her young life to taking care of their 7 children. She never knew a stranger and often took in borders and sold home-made donuts as a source of income. She managed the family farm and later became a distributor for the Shaklee Corporation where she earned the title of sales director. She surrounded herself with animals throughout her life and enjoyed gospel music, especially when her youngest son, Danny was singing. Lola was a great cook and enjoyed sewing as well as donating her time and attention to those in need. Lola was always a devout Christian and even started a bible study group at the age of 93, after moving to a nursing home. Lola died surrounded by her family and loving caregivers.
Surviving are one daughter, Doris Jean Thornhill; three sons & wives, Garry & Pattie Reynolds, Kennthe & Debbie Reynolds, Daniel & Diane Reynolds; many grand, great grand and great great grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two sons, Charles & Robert Victor Reynolds and one daughter, Loretta Gibson.
A private family interment was held in the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.
