Lois Charlene Cross Goza
Lois Charlene Cross Goza, the daughter of the late Charley and Sarah Wilson Carl, was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, on March 4, 1936, and passed away at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri on June 22, 2005, at the age of 69 years, 3 months and 18 days.
Mrs. Goza had lived in Dexter, Missouri since 1977 and was a member of Faith Fellowship Full Gospel Church in Dexter, Missouri.
On October 7, 1951 she was married to Quenten Cross at Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1979.
Surviving are one son, John Cross of Puxico, Missouri; four daughters, Bonnie Cross and Ester Rogers both of Dexter, Missouri, Delores Long of Perks, Illinois, Laura Barnes of Goreville, Illinois, eleven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two half-brothers, Billy Thurston and Robert Thurston both of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; two sisters, Virginia Gray of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Vivian Crosby of Grandin, Missouri Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Adams; and four brothers, Charles, Vernon, Marvin and Marion Carl.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 23, 2005, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 24, 2005, at 10:30 A.M. in the Faith Fellowship Full Gospel Church on One Mile Road in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Karen Oldham of Dexter, Missouri and the Rev. Eddie Spain of Fredericktown, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.watkinsfuneralhome.com.
