Lois A. Eakes, daughter of the late James Edward and Pauline Opal Padgett Butler, was born in Chillicothe, Iowa, on December 28, 1939, and passed away at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on November 27, 2009, at the age of 69 years, 10 months and 29 days.
She had lived in Quilin and Dexter, Missouri all her life. She enjoyed sewing, putting puzzles together and cat collectables.
Surviving are one son, James E. Eakes of Jackson, Missouri; three daughters, Patty Hunsaker of Avert, Missouri, Martha Wesson of Holland, Missouri, Alice Green of Dexter, Missouri; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchilden; one brother, Ronald Butler of Anaheim, California; and one sister, Patricia Eakes of California. Other relatives and many friends survive to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Edward Butler and Pauline Opal Schafer and her twin sister, Lola Keith.
Friends may visit on Monday, November 30, 2009, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at 11:00 AM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri.
Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri, with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri, in charge of arrangements.
