Lois Cravens, daughter of the late Sidney George and Martha Burdine McCain, was born in Atkins, Arkansas on August 15, 1941, and passed away at the Golden Living Center in New Madrid, Missouri on August 31, 2013, at the age of 72 years and 16 days.
Mrs. Cravens had lived most of her life in Parma. She had been a home maker and enjoyed crafts and quilting.
On April 16, 1964, she was married to Daniel Cravens in Parma, Missouri.
Surviving are her husband, Daniel Cravens of Parma, Missouri; three sons & spouse, Richard & Kathy Cravens, Dennis Cravens and Thomas Cravens all of Parma, Missouri; four daughters and spouses, Rita Cravens of Parma, Missouri, Lisa & Kent Leigh of Suisun City, California, Sandra & John Acord of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Frances Cravens & Howard Newsome of Fruitland, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; one brother, Carroll McCain of Cement, Oklahoma and her mother-in-law, Ethel Cravens of Parma. Numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, her father-in-law, Floyd Cravens and twelve siblings.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, after 11:00 AM at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at 1:00 PM in the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Parma, Missouri with the Rev. Frank Townsend of Parma, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in Bernie Cemetery in Bernie, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma in charge of arrangements.
