Lloyd Wilson of Poplar Bluff, son of the late Ralph and Laura Louise Liskey Wilson, was born in Brosley, Missouri on July 17, 1927, and passed away at the Westwood Hills Health and Rehab Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on April 25, 2015, at the age of 87 years, 9 months and 8 days.
Lloyd retired from the Mississippi Glass Company in St. Louis. He had lived in Illinois and Kansas City before moving to Poplar Bluff 25 years ago. He had been too ill to attend church in the last several years but was strong in his Baptist faith. Lloyd served in the US Army during WWII.
On September 25, 1944, he married Bernice Wilson in Piggott, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on February 5, 2015.
Surviving are one son, Leonard Wilson of Farmington, Missouri; one daughter, Linda Linhart of East Prairie, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren; and many great and great great grandchildren. Many other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Friends may call on Monday, April 27, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday April 27, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Eddie Linhart of Granite City Ill. officiating.
Burial will be in the Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley, Missouri and Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
