Linda Newell, daughter of the late Sam Frazier and Katherine (May) Frazier, was born in Gideon, Missouri on September 29, 1951, and passed away at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on March 30, 2011, at the age of 59 years, 6 months and 1 day. She had lived in Dexter, Missouri most of her life. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Dexter, Missouri. On September 18, 1981, she was married to David Newell in Sikeston, Missouri. Surviving are her husband, David Newell of Dexter, Missouri; four sons, Jay Rodgers of Dexter, Missouri, Danny Rodgers of Imperial, Missouri, Glen Rodgers of Arnold, Missouri, Tim Newell of Morley, Missouri; two daughters, Glenda Martin of Republic, Missouri, Melissa March of Dexter, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three brothers, Kenneth "Junior" Henson of Chicago, Illinois, Ray Frazier of Dexter, Missouri, George Frazier of Bonne Terre, Missouri; two sisters, Margie Anthony of Dexter, Missouri and Margaret Gamblin of Malden, Missouri. Many other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one great grandson, and two sisters, Billie Jo McCullough and Mary Matthews. Friends may visit on Sunday, April 3, 2011, after 12:30 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2011, at 2:00 PM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Danny Collins of Qulin, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
