Lily Pearl Tolbert, the daughter of the late Virl E. and Gladys Cranford Adams, was born in Portageville, Missouri on August 3, 1927, and passed away at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on July 4, 2008, at the age of 80 years, 11 months and 1 day. Mrs. Tolbert had lived in St. Louis, Missouri for many years, she moved to Poplar Bluff in 1984, and has lived in Puxico, Missouri the past two years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Puxico, Missouri. On October 22, 1984, she was married to Dale Dwight Tolbert in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Surviving are her husband, Dale Dwight Tolbert of Puxico, Missouri; one granddaughter, Kelly Ann Morlen of Granite City, Illinois; two great grandchildren, Marshall Ingrassia and Hope Lily Ann Morlen; two step-brothers, Lester Gremard of California, Ervin Gremard of Portageville, Missouri, two half-brothers, Connie Adams of North Carolina and James Adams of Oklahoma. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Jo Ann Lynch; two brothers, Billy Adams and Virl E. Adams, Jr.; one sister, Louise Butler and one step-sister, Ann Stewart. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday July 7, 2008, at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at 1:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Gene Lancaster of Risco, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
