Lillie Baltimore, daughter of the late Pleas J. and Freeona Miller Oakes, was born in Neelyville, Missouri on July 13, 1926, and passed away at the Puxico Nursing Center in Puxico, Missouri on September 28, 2006, at the age of 80 years, 2 months and 15 days. Mrs. Baltimore was a resident of Puxico since 1994 and a former resident of Wappapello and Hillsboro, Missouri where she was a retired LPN working for CNA. She was a member of the Puxico General Baptist Church. In 1952 she was married to Curtis Lee Baltimore in Hillsboro, Missouri and he preceded her in death on September 5, 1985. Surviving are one son: Billy Baltimore of Dexter, Missouri, one daughter: Sharon Burks of Puxico, Missouri, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren, one brother: Fred Oakes of Rockford, Illinois, four sisters: Daisy Shivley and Lois Smith both of Rockford, Illinois, Mildred Shivley of Illinois and Viola Hoover of Indiana. Other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by one daughter: Mary Jo Carter, one brother: Roy Oakes, four sisters: Irene Hanebrink, Florence Schafer, Goldie Riley, Mary Burson. Friends may call after 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 30, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2006, at 2:00 P.M. at the Puxico General Baptist Church in Puxico, Missouri with Rev. Kenneth Lambert of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Richmann Chapel Cemetery near Wappapello, Missouri. Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.
