Lillian Opel Marie Bratcher, the daughter of the late Franklin Taylor and Mary Elizabeth Evans Barton, was born in Cadet, Missouri on June 8, 1934, and passed away at the Fountainbleau Nursing Home in Crystal City, Missouri on January 16, 2008, at the age of 73 years, 7 month and 8 days. Mrs. Bratcher had lived most her life in the Parma and Catron areas. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Eastern Star. On October 2, 1962, she was married to Joe David Bratcher in St. Louis, Missouri he preceded her in death on October 24, 2004. Surviving are one step-son, David Bratcher of Dexter, Missouri; ten daughters and two step-daughters, Karen Keown of Madisonville, Kentucky, Rose Berend of Arnold, Missouri, Kathy Goad of Illinois, Anita Watkins of Festus, Missouri, Mary Hunt of New Madrid, Missouri, Millie Ghattas of Imperial, Missouri, Estella Bates of Tampa, Florida, Barbara Lynn of Valley Park, Missouri, Melinda Wheeler of Dittmer, Missouri, Bertha Sherritze of Parma, Missouri, step-daughters, Kathy Clark of Malden, Missouri and Sharon Dellinger of Lincoln, Illinois; six brothers, Chad Barton of St. Louis, Missouri, Donald Barton of Virginia, Jr. Barton of St. Louis, Missouri, Johnny Barton of Peru, Indiana, Buddy Barton of South Carolina and Wayne Barton of St. Louis, Missouri; one Sister, Melinda McMillian of St. Peters, Missouri, forty-four grandchildren, forty-two great-grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Hubbard, one step-daughter, Carol Ann Earnhart and one sister Maxine Sims. Friends may call at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma, Missouri on Friday, January 18, 2008, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2008, at 12:00 P.M. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Parma, Missouri with Bro. Mark Powell of Risco, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Parma Cemetery in Parma, Missouri. Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma, Missouri is in charge of arrangements.
