Lila Louise Werden, the daughter of the late Andrew and Thelma Louise VanDusin Robbins, was born in Potoskey, Michigan on February 14, 1935, and passed away at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Missouri on January 7, 2008, at the age of 72 years, 10 months and 24 days. Mrs. Werden had lived in Michigan before moving to Dexter, Missouri in 1985. She was a member of the Full Gospel Church and had worked in the Laundry for Nursing Homes and Hospitals. She was a member of the Eagles Aerie #4062 in Dexter, Missouri. She enjoyed bowling, ceramics and crafts, collected music, volunteered to work with handicap children and enjoyed her dog, Bobo. Surviving are one son, Thomas (Star) Werden, Jr. of Dixon, Tennessee; three daughters, Diane Elizabeth (Tim) Merritt of Dexter, Missouri, Donna Louise (Bernard) Stanton of Battlecreek, Michigan, Darene Marie (Mark) Simpson of Charleviox, Michigan; twenty-one grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; one brother, Lloyd (Daisy) Robbins of Inverness, Florida; and one sister, Lela (Fred) Betway of Marquett, Michigan. Other relatives and many friends also survive. Friends may call at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri on Thursday, January 10, 2008, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 11, 2008, at 1:00 P.M. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Danny Collins of Qulin, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Bernie Cemetery in Bernie, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
