Leon Sanford

Leon "Lee" Sanford, the daughter of the late Daniel W. and Eva Hearn Sanford, was born in Kennett, Missouri on January 4, 1913, and passed away at the Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on April 21, 2006, at the age of 93 years, 3 months and 17 days. She had resided in St. Louis, Missouri for many years where she worked for Libson's Specialty Shop. She moved to Cape Girardeau a few months ago. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. Surviving are a niece, Debra Williamson of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and one great grandnephew, Josh Williamson of Essex, Missouri. Other friends and relatives also survive. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Inez Sanford and Daphna Bruening. Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at 1:00 PM at the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. John Adams of Dexter, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
