Leo Hoopingarner, son of the late Marion Leo Hoopingarner, Sr. and Verla Loman Hoopingarner, was born in Dudley, Missouri on June 20, 1946, and passed away at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on February 22, 2014, at the age of 67 years, 8 months and 2 days.
He had lived in the Puxico area all of his life where he was a row crop and live stock farmer and also had a salvage yard. He was a member of the Mingo Tractor Club.
On December 22, 2010, he was married to Linda Williard in Puxico.
Surviving are his wife Linda Hoopingarner of Puxico, Missouri; three daughers & spouses, Kimberly & Paul Wilkerson of Jackson, Missouri, Melinda & Brandon Faries of Puxico, Marian & Tony Smith of Rector, Arkansas; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Millie Hancock and one brother, Billy Ray Hoopingarner.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 26, 2014, after 10:00 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday February 26, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with Rev. Kenneth Lambert of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Bernie Cemetery in Bernie with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
