Leonora C. Taylor, the daughter of the late Arthur O. and Cordella Moore, was born in Dexter, Missouri, on March 11, 1920, and passed away at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tennessee on September 9, 2007, at the age of 87 years, 5 months, and 29 days.
Mrs. Taylor had lived in Michigan for many years before moving to Oak Ridge, Tennessee in 1981. She was a member of the Community Baptist Church in Oliver Springs, Tennessee and she enjoyed canning, quilting, corcheting, fellowhip times with her friends at the Clinton Towers and most of all spending time with her family.
On August 28, 1939, she was married to Chester L. Taylor, Sr. He preceded her in death on December 24, 1981.
Surviving are two sons and daughters in law, Larry and Brenda Taylor of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Chester and Ann Taylor of Royal Oak, Michigan; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by a daughter and son in law, Doris A. and James A. Patch; one sister, Iva Haynes; and one brother, Remmel Moore.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday September 12, 2007, at 8:00 PM at the Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home in Oak Ridge, Tennessee with the Rev. Kenny Bean officiating.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 17, 2007, at 11:00 AM in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Kenneth Biggs of Dexter, Missouri officiating. Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
