Lelon Andrew Moore
Lelon Andrew Moore, the son of the late Siles Monroe and Virdie Osborn Moore, was born in Leachville, Arkansas on November 20, 1920, and passed away at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri on September 11, 2007, at the age of 86 years, 9 months, and 22 days.
Mr. Moore had lived in Aid, Missouri for many years before living in St. Louis and Farmington, Missouri. He had worked as a house parent at the Presbyterian Children's Home in Farmington, Missouri. He returned to Dexter three years ago. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
On July 31, 1943, he was married to Georgia Nash. She preceded him in death in 1982.
Surviving are two sons, Wayne Moore of Dexter, Missouri, Harold Moore of Pacifica, California; and two grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Pete, David and Vernon Moore and one sister, Alene Short.
Friends may call on Saturday September 15, 2007, after 10:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 15, 2007, at 11:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Kenneth Biggs of Dexter, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow at a later date in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
