Leila Bell Holton, the daughter of the late Jerry Duncan Bouie, Sr. and the late Doris Marion Ramsey Bouie Cox, was born in Albany, Georgia on July 24, 1946, and passed away at her home in Lowndes, Missouri on November 8, 2008, at the age of 62 years, 3 months and 15 days. Mrs. Holton had lived in Georgia most of her life and had moved to Lowndes in August of 2008. She was a certified child care provider, was a member of the Abundant Life Church in Georgia and had attended the Community Church of Christ near Lowndes, Missouri. She was a member and volunteer with the Salvation Army in Georgia, the Vice-President of the Senior Center in Jackson, Georgia and she loved to cook and spent time with her grandchildren. On March 23, 1988, she was married to Riley Lamar Holton in Albany, Georgia. Surviving are her husband, Riley Lamar Holton of Jackson, Georgia; one son and daughter-in-law, Aaron Willis (Anna Maria) Holman of Lowndes, Missouri; one grandson, Landon William Douglas Holman; one granddaughter, Victoria Lynn-Marie Holman; four brothers, Jerry Duncan Bouie, Jr. and John Edwin Cox both of Albany, Georgia, Thomas Eugene Cox, Jr. of Leesburg, Georgia, Everett Lamar Cox of Baconton, Georgia; seven sisters, Juanita Bouie Winn and Mary Helen Cox Gore both of Warner Robbins, Georgia, Patricia Ann Bouie Gore and Betty Annell Cox Hester both of Albany, Georgia, April Dean Cox Nalley and Alice June Cox Gentry both of Sylvester, Georgia and Robin Elaine Cox Guinn of McDonough, Georgia. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, William Douglas Holman. Friends may call after 12:00 PM on Monday November 10, 2008, at the Community Church of Christ near Lowndes, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 10, 2008, at 1:00 PM at the Community Church of Christ near Lowndes, Missouri with Bro. Jack Rogers of Lowndes, Missouri, Bro. Dale Rogers of Dexter, Missouri and Bro. John Nimmo of Sikeston, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Community Church of Christ Cemetery near Lowndes, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
