Leeon Sugg

Leeon Sugg, son of the late Daniel Lee and Gladys Mae Marlin Sugg, was born in Sikeston, Missouri on April 16, 1945, and passed away at his home in Dexter, Missouri on June 7, 2012, at the age of 67 years, months and days. He lived in the Sikeston before moving to Dexter three years ago. He and his wife Sandra served as foster parents to many children over 20 years. He owned and operated his own Auto Body Repair shop for more than 30 years. He was a member of the Morehouse Assembly Of God Church. On October 8, 1986, he was married to Sandra Carol Newell in Sikeston, Missouri. Surviving are his wife, Sandra Sugg of Dexter, Missouri; two sons, Doye Smith, and Gabriel Sugg of Dexter, Missouri, three daughters Brenda Salis of Dayton, Ohio; Michelle Smith and Misty Hare both of Dexter, Missouri; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters Tressie Goetz of Clarksville, In. and Verblene Lovelace of Pine Bluff, Ark. Other family and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Sugg and JR Sugg. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2012, after 5:00 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 11, 2012, at Assembly of God Church in Morehouse, Missouri with the Rev. Larry Portwood of Morehouse, Missouri and the Rev. Ira Sandefer of Sikeston, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
