Lavada Faries, the daughter of the late Thomas Albert "Abner" and Florence Belle Coleman Crunk Faries was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on November 22, 1923, and went to be with Jesus at her home near Puxico, Missouri on April 8, 2006, at the age of 82 years, 4 months and 17 days.
Mrs. Faries had lived in the Puxico area all her life. She was a member of the New Life Baptist Church in Wappapello, Missouri.
On December 18, 1940, she was married to Alvin Faries in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. They had enjoyed 65 years of marriage.
Surviving are her husband, Alvin Faries of Puxico, Missouri; two sons, Bill Faries and Ron and Vonnie Faries all of Puxico, Missouri; one daughter, Pat and Eddie Dunivan of Puxico, Missouri; daughter in law, Brenda Lingafelter of Salem, Illinois; nine grandchildren, Judy McAllister, Rhonda Acre, Terri Worley, Paula Hefner, Brad Faries, Clay Faries, Danny Dunivan, Joe Dunivan, and Amanda Hanes; and eleven great grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive.
She leaves her earthly life to join those who have preceded her in death, her parents, Abner and Belle Crunk; one son, Randy Faries; two daughters in law, Janice and Candy; three brothers, her twin Billy, Tom and Charles Crunk; five sisters, Jessie Warrington, Ethel, Pansy, Lois and Marie Crunk.
Friends may call after 6:00 PM on Monday, April 10, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2006, at 1:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with the Rev. Danny Dunivan of Oakland City, Indiana officiating.
Interment will be in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements. Online condolence/register book is available at www.watkinsfuneralhome.com.
