Larry Marvel, the son of the late Sherman and Mae Stelle Marvel, was born in Crowder, Missouri on July 21, 1945, and passed away at his home in Bloomfield, Missouri on November 5, 2008, at the age of 63 years, 3 months and 24 days.
Mr. Marvel had lived in the Dexter and Bloomfield most all his life. He was a laborer for Walker Construction. He was a past member of the Dexter Eagles Aerie. On November 4, 2008 he accepted the Lord as his savior and was saved. He was a Veteran of the Navy where he served during the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his fiancé, Freda McAnnally of Bloomfield, Missouri; two sons, Scott Marvel of Pacific, Missouri and Bo Marvel of Dexter, Missouri; one daughter, Kim Cornell of Dexter, Missouri; two step-sons, Ed Hare of Bloomfield, Missouri, Gary Dollar of Sikeston, Missouri; one step-daughter, Barbara Curtis of Dyersburg, Tennessee; sixteen grandchildren; two sisters, JoAnne Jones of St. Louis, Missouri and Mary Lou Kasting of Ellsinore, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Marvel.
Friends may call on Monday, November 10, 2008, after 9:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, November 10, 2008, at 10:00 AM in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Dr. Michael Coleman of Sikeston, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Missouri Vererans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements
