Larry Emery Abbott

    Larry Emery Abbott of Salcedo, Missouri,  son of the late Emery Lee and Flossie Alene (Byrd) Abbott was  born on October 6, 1948, in Sikeston, Missouri, and passed away on November 22, 2022, in Cape Girardeau , Missouri at the age of 74.
    Larry lived in the Southeast Missouri area the majority of his life where he worked as an over the road truck driver and and as a farmer until his retirement.  Larry enjoyed his life as he spent it with family, especially his grand children. He loved to hunt, farm and was a man who liked to spend time outdoors. He also enjoyed attending gun shows.  Larry was of the Baptist Faith.
     Larry is survived by  two daughters, Tisha (Ron) McCormick and Cristal (Terry) Finney of Jackson, Missouri; one brother, Eugene Abbott of Morehouse, Missouri; one sister, Linda Kay Bess of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; five grand children and one great grandchild; A loving friend Mary Ann Sutfin; a close personal friend J.D. King; notable farming friends Marion Orr, Jr. and Sandy Sitz. A host of family and friends survive.  
    He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Tracy Michelle Abbott; his brother Harry Abbott; three sisters, Phyllis, Faye and Barbara.   
   Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter, Missouri, with the service to follow with Reverend Terry Finney of Jackson, Missouri officiating.
    Interment will be at the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri, with Watkins And Sons Funeral of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
