Kurtis "RAS" Hall, son of Charles Wesley and Susan Emma Jean Holden Hall, was born on August 24, 1952, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and passed away at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on November 3, 2010, at the age of 58 years, 2 months and 10 days.
Mr. Hall worked for Dave Morris Construction and was a member of the Missouri Southern Baptist Church in Essex. He was an avid bowler and hunter. Mr. Hall lived his whole life in the Essex area.
He was married to Joyce Wanda Layton on June 30, 1989 in Bloomfield, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife Joyce Wanda Hall of Essex, Missouri; two stepsons, Paul Woodard, Jr. of Junction City, Kansas and Douglas L. Graviett of Dexter, Missouri; four stepdaughters, Rebecca G. Kelly of Jackson, Missouri, Marsha D. Woodard and Susan K. Woodard both of Dexter, Missouri, Donna J. Poe of Bernie, Missouri; his parents, Charles Wesley and Susan Emma Jean Hall of Essex, Missouri; eighteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Charla "Suzie" Ruppert of Essex, Missouri; and one brother, Dan Hall of Pevely, Missouri. Many other family and friends survive.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, November 4, 2010, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 5, 2010, at the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Reverend Larry Davis of Advance, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow at the Link Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
