Junior Cross

Junior Cross of Dexter, son of late Willard D. and Thelma A Meador Cross, was born in Fisk, Missouri October 26, 1940, and passed away at Saint Francis Medical Center, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on September 26, 2020, at the age of 79 years. Junior was a retired control room operator for Delta Asphalt. He loved to bow hunt deer and turkey, and loved fishing. He lived in Bernie and Dexter all his life. Surviving him is, son and daughter in law Kevin (Angela) Cross of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, daughter and husband, Laurie (Jeffrey) Jarnigan of Trenton, Tennessee; son Jason and wife Ashley Cross of Jackson, Missouri; five grandchildren Jonathan and Jake Alley, Lexi Cross, Christian and Madden Cross and two great grandchildren, Finn, and Joseph Alley; one sister Lucille Vaughn of Dexter; dear friend Audrey Todd. Other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, one great grandson Jaxon Alley, brother in law John Vaughn. Visitation will be held on Sunday September 27, 2020, after 12:00 pm at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter until time of services at 2:00 pm with Pastor Darren DeLoach of Connection Point Church in Jackson, Missouri. Interment will follow at the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of all arrangements.
