Joy Hale

Joy Rose Hale, age 91 of Wappapello, Missouri passed away June 12, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. Joy was born August 29, 1929, in Wappapello, Missouri, to the late Ernest and Gladys Newell. Joy married Marvin Alexander Hale, he preceded her in death on June 23, 2012. Joy worked as a cook on the riverboats, she loved cooking, arts & crafts, and watching westerns on TV. Joy is survived by her son Marvin L. Hale of Wappapello, Missouri; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchild; many friends and family also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister. Visitation will be held on Thursday June 17, 2021 at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Thursday June 17, 2021 at 1:00 pm in Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri with Rev. Steve Tippen officiating. Interment will follow in the Wappapello Cemetery Wappapello, Missouri. With Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
