Johnnie Davis of Grayridge, daughter of the late John William and Jessie Jane Dorney Scott, was born in Hartman, Arkansas on August 1, 1933, and passed away at her residence in Grayridge on January 31, 2017, at the age of 83 years, 5 months and 29 days.
She had lived in the Grayridge area for several years. She worked for the postoffice for several years as the postmaster and attended the General Baptist Church in Grayridge. She enjoyed her chickens and dogs and her flowers.
On September of 1973 she married Russell E. Davis in Jackson, Missouri. He preceded her in death on July 9, 2013.
Surviving are one son, Michael Davis of Essex; one stepson, Steven Davis of Mississippi; two grandchildren, Jeremy Russell Davis of Essex, Mikalyn Johnna Davis of Essex; one step grandson; two sisters Lourean Rasey of Florida; Querita Marvel of Cape Girardeau. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Joe Scott; two sisters, Auline Crabtree and Stelline Tyler.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017, from 11:00 to 2:30 p.m. at Watkins & Sons Funeral Service in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral service will be held Friday, February 10, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel.
Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery in Essex, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
