John C. Robertson, son of the late Norman Cleveland and Mable Howerton Robertson, was born on April 3, 1947, in Summerfield, North Carolina, and passed away at his home in Sikeston, Missouri, on April 19, 2012, at the age of 65 years and 16 days. He had lived in Florida before moving the Bloomfield and had lived in Sikeston, Missouri the past five years. He had worked in management for Stanley Steamer and was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield, Missouri. On October 15, 1977, he was married to Linda James in Greensboro, North Carolina. Surviving are his wife, Linda Robertson of Sikeston, Missouri; four daughters, Annette Williams and Stephanie McElroy both of Sikeston, Missouri, Daryl Ann Kelly of Doniphan, Missouri, Tina Nugent of Idaho; three grandchildren, Samantha and Nolan McElroy both of Sikeston, Missouri, Nathaniel Nugent of Idaho; one brother, Paul Robertson of Stokedale, North Carolina; three sisters, Diane Hold of Summerfield, North Carolina, Norma Middleton of Oakridge, North Carolina and Margie Bailey of Kernersville, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence Robertson. Friends may visit from 9:00 to 11:00 am on Monday April 23, 2012, at the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday April 23, 2012, at the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield, Missouri with the Rev. Kevin Eskew of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.
