John Curran

John "Jack" Curran, the son of the late Joseph and Rita Rose Gasparro Curran, was born in Philadelphia, Pensylvania on October 2, 1939, and passed away at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri on June 9, 2008, at the age of 68 years, 8 months and 7 days. Mr. Curran had lived in many states while serving in the Air Force. He had lived in Dexter the past several years. He enjoyed Golf, Bowling, old car repair and spending time with his family. On July 26, 1959, he was married to Betty Lizenbee in Rockville, Indiana. Surviving are his wife, Betty Curran of Dexter, Missouri; two sons, Tony Curran of Dexter, Missouri, John Curran of Hazelwood, Missouri; six grandchildren; one brother, Bernd Currn of El Paso, Texas. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother, Joey Curran. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday June 12, 2008 at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 13, 2008, at 10:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Rev. Loren Stephens of Dyersburg, Tennessee officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
