John Brown

John W. Brown, the son of the late Osie and Mattie Woods Brown, was born in Broseley, Missouri on April 23, 1932, and passed away at his home in Broseley, Missouri on October 3, 2014, at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 10 days. Mr. Brown had lived in Dudley and Broseley, Missouri all his life. He had been a farmer and was a member of the Oliver Tractor Collectors Club. On April 5, 1970, he was married to Patricia Woods and she preceded him in death. Surviving are one daughter, Stacey Hardcastle of Broseley, Missouri; three grandchildren, Staci, Cody & Cory Hardcastle of Broseley; and two great grandchildren, Jazlyn & Evelynn Hardcastle of Broseley. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two sons, Steve Brown & Johnny Brown; one brother, Verlin Brown and one sister, Sue Brown. Friends may call on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, after 10:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Kenneth Biggs of Dexter officiating. Burial will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
