Jimmie Roach, son of the late Bob and Sadie Fleeman Roach, was born in Hornersville, Missouri, on September 29, 1937, and passed away at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on January 26, 2012, at the age of 74 years.
He had lived in Bloomfield, Missouri for 45 years. He worked as a supervisor at Purolator in Dexter, Missouri. He was a member of the White Oak General Baptist Church near Bernie, Missouri and was an avid Cardinal Baseball fan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
On January 26, 1965, he married Margie Sue Hester in Nashville, Tennessee.
Surviving are his wife, Margie Roach of Bloomfield, Missouri; one son and daughter in law, Mike & July of Bloomfield, Missouri; one grandchild, Chris; and one sister, Jane Broadway of Kennett, Missouri. Several nieces, nephews, other family and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Graveside Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 30, 2012, at the Missouri State Veteran's Cemeter in Bloomfield, Missouri with the Rev. M. C. Moore of Dexter officiating. Full military honors will be conducted.
Interment will be in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
