Jimmie Gale Davis, the son of Malinda Marie May Davis and the late Charles Arden Davis, was born in Essex, Missouri on April 29, 1944, and passed away at his home in Wappapello, Missouri August 29, 2007, at the age of 63 years and 4 months.
Mr. Davis had lived in the Essex and Wappapello, Missouri areas most of his life. He had worked as an automobile mechanic until his health forced his retirement. He was a member of the Church.
On November 26, 1999, he was married to Kathy Leaming in Essex, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Kathy Davis of Wappapello, Missouri; one daughter, Reneeu Stromatt of Belgium; a step-daughter, Ronda Giff of Wappapello, Missouri; his mother, Malinda Davis of Essex, Missouri; five grandchildren; one brother, Jerry F. Davis of Dexter, Missouri; and one sister, Luella "Lu" Smith of Wappapello, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, and one brother, Harold Arden Davis on April 10, 2007.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2007, at 10:00 AM at the Chalk Bluff Cemetery near Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Avon Raczkowski of Hayti, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery near Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
