Jimmie D. Corzine, Sr., the son of the late Alva and Hattie Hutchcraft Corzine was born in Dexter, Missouri on February 13, 1942 and passed away at his home in Dexter, Missouri on April 21, 2007, at the age of 65 years, 2 months and 8 days. Jimmie had spent several years in Benton Harbor, Michigan and returned to Dexter in 1982. He was a retired carpenter and had worked for Pearson Construction. He was first married to Sheila Phillips in Benton Harbor, Michigan. On September 9, 1988, he was married to Margaret Ruckle Sandy in Dexter, Missouri. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Corzine of Dexter, Missouri; one son, Jimmie Corzine, Jr. of Dudley, Missouri; two daughters, Dieanna Chronister of Coloma, Michigan, Theresa Broadhurst of Watervliet, Michigan; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; five step-sons, Arthur L. Shafer of Bancroft, Michigan, Richard L. Shafer of Flint, Michigan, John J. Shafer of Mt. Rose, Michigan, Thomas L. Shafer of Phoenix, Arizona, Timothy P. Shafer of Dexter, Missouri; two step-daughters, Janet L. Garcia of Columbia, Tennessee and Donna J. DeKruger of Phoenix, Arizona. Many other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Friends may call on Tuesday, April 24, 2007, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at 11:00 AM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Karen Oldham of Dexter, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Armstead Dowdy Cemetery near Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
