Jewell Elizabeth Orr, daughter of the late William Payne and Minnie Marie Krezeszinski Eavenson, was born in Cohomo, Mississippi on October 9, 1922, and passed away at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri on October 1, 2007, at the age of 84 years, 11 months and 22 days.
Mrs. Orr had lived in Dudley since 1942, and was a member of the Dudley Community Church where she had taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She had retired as a secretary for the International Hat Company in Dexter, she had also taught school in the Dudley area and worked at Elders Manufacturing.
On April 2, 1943, she was married to Charles Victor Orr in Dudley, Missouri.
Surviving are her husband, Charles Victor Orr of Dudley, Missouri; one son, Darryl Orr of Dexter, Missouri; one daughter, Nicki Allen of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister, Louise Simon of Mesa, Arizona. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one sister, Joyce Connelley, and three brothers, Errol, Conrad and Robert Eavenson.
Friends may call on Wednesday October 3, 2007, after 9:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October 3, 2007, at 11:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Greg Meadows of Dudley, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Dudley Cemetery in Dudley, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
