Jerry Bess

Jerry Bess, son of Jack and Pauline Nelson Bess, was born in Advance, Missouri on August 8, 1943, and passed away at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri on October 21, 2013, at the age of 70 years, 2 months and 13 days. He had lived in the Puxico area all of is life. He was a row crop farmer and had served in the Missouri National Guard. Surviving are his parents, Jack and Pauline Bess of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; three daughters and spouse, Bami Parsons of Clearwater, Florida, Cindy & Randy Martin of Puxico, Missouri, Ashley Bess of Arnold, Missouri; one son, Todd Bess of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; two grandchildren, Jarrett Martin of Puxico, Missouri and Jacie Parsons of Clearwater, Florida. Other family and friends also survive. Visitation will be held on Friday October 25, 2013 after 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Friday October 25, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri. Interment will follow in the Rock Point Cemetery near Swinton, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
