Jannis Campbell

Jannis "Jan" Campbell, daughter of the late Albert Lavern and Virginia Evelyn Harralston Halterman, was born in Sikeston, Missouri, on October 16, 1951, and passed away at her home in Parma, Missouri on March 28, 2012, at the age of 60 years, 5 months and 12 days. Mrs. Campbell had lived in St. Louis and Lilbourn before moving to Parma 40 years ago. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Parma. She enjoyed working in her flower beds, working jigsaw puzzles and playing with her grandchildren. On August 27, 1971, she was married to Gary Campbell in Parma, Missouri. Surviving are her husband, Gary Campbell of Parma, Missouri; three daughters, Cindy Reynolds of Parma, Missouri, Becky Campbell of Scott City, Missouri, Sarah Trammell of Campbell, Missouri; six grandchildren, Austin & Nicholas Reynolds of Parma, Missouri, Harley, Bryleigh, Jarred and Michael, Jr. Trammell all of Campbell, Missouri; one brother, Ray Halterman of Parma, Missouri; and one sister, Mary Ann Darrow of Belleville, Illinois. Other family and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, a niece, Angela Sue Byrd, and a nephew, Ira Martin "Marty" Bartlett. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012, at 1:00 pm in the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Parma, Missouri with Bro. Bud Mays of Malden, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in Mounds Cemetery near New Madrid, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma in charge of arrangements.
