Janice Flanigan

Janice Flanigan, the daughter of the late John Richard and Bettie Landers Frala, was born in Matthews, Missouri on October 19, 1918, and passed away at her home in St. Louis, Missouri on June 7, 2008, at the age of 89 years, 7 months and 19 days. Mrs. Flanigan had lived in Grayridge and Dexter, Missouri before moving to St. Louis, Missouri in 1996. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Dexter, Missouri. On February 20, 1937, she was married to Floyd Flanigan in Lilbourn, Missouri. He preceded her in death on July 18, 1966. Surviving are six daughters, Bettie Rackley of Staunton, Illinois, Shelby Hale, Sue Bundren and Barbara Barnett all of St. Louis, Missouri, Nina Dobbs of St. Peters, Missouri, Darlene Gardner of Dexter, Missouri; one son, Charles Flanigan of Columbus, Indiana; seventeen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Valentine Richard Frala and Russell Edward Frala. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday June 10, 2008 at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at 11:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Pastor Mike Kohlbaker of Dexter, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
