James Wm. "Bill" Trout James Wm. "Bill" Trout, the son of the late James Ora and Dottie Mae Wright Trout, was born in Campbell, Missouri on December 29, 1925, and passed away at the Forest Park Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri on June 24, 2005, at the age of 79 years, 5 months and 25 days. Mr. Trout had lived in the Puxico area all of his life. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during WWII where he received a Purple Heart while fighting in the Battle of the Bulge. He was als in rhe Rhineland and Central Europe Campaigns. He received the American Theater Ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Ribbon, with two bronze stars and the World War II Victory Medal. He was a retired farmer and his hobbies included Gardening, Fishing and playing with the grand kids. On February 9, 1974, he was married to Jean Gunter in Puxico, Missouri. Surviving are his wife, Jean Trout of Puxico, Missouri; five sons, Billy Metcalf of Wappapello, Missouri, Charles Ray Trout of Bloomfield, Missouri, Randy Trout of St. Louis, Missouri, Jim Trout and Dennis Trout both of Puxico, Missouri; two stepsons, Larry Whitsel of Puxico, Missouri, Kent Whitsel of Black Forest, Colorado; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one brother, Earl Trout of Dexter, Missouri; and four sisters, Mary Hicks of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Virginia Lambert of Dexter, Missouri, Mavis Gray of Puxico, Missouri and Opal Wilson of Arnold, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one stepson, Steve Whitsel; one brother, Beryl Trout; and three sisters, Leatrice Limbaugh, Irene Abernathy and Dora Lee Trout. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 27, 2005, after 6:00 PM at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2005, at 10:00 AM in the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home Puxico, Missouri with Rev. Jim LaFerney of Puxico, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri state Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full Military Honors conducted by the Stoddard County Veterans Honor Team.
