James Lester Riddell
James Lester Riddell, son of the late Osmar Lee and Sarah Emmaline Sexton Riddell, was born in Mt. Judea, Arkansas on November 22, 1942, and passed away at the Missouri Southern Health Care in Dexter, Missouri on October 21, 2009 at the age of 66 years, 10 months and 30 days.
Mr. Riddell had lived in the Malden area most all his life. He had worked as a self employed mechanic until his retirement and was of the Pentacostal faith.
On September 17, 1960, he was married to Brenda Carol Hillis in Malden, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Brenda Riddell of Malden, Missouri; two sons: Clarence Lee Riddell of Campbell, Missouri and James Daniel Riddell of Malden, Missouri. One daughter: Susan Darlene Rutledge of Myrtle, Missouri.Thirteen Grandchildren and Five Great Grandchildren. Two Brothers: Hershel John Riddell of Malden, Missouri and John Herman Riddell of Holcomb, Missouri. One sister: Mary Iline Darnell of Malden, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. He is preceded in death by two brothers: Bud and Russell Riddell and two sisters: Julious Hampton and Mary Jane Wilson.
Friends may call on Friday, October 23, 2009, after 10:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 23, 2009, at 2:00 PM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Roger Fowler of Bernie, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Stephens Chapel Cemetery in Malden, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
