James William "Jim" Pulliam, son of the late Thomas William and Evelyn Lou Wyatt Pulliam, was born in Doniphan, Missouri on March 21, 1941, and passed away at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Missouri on August 6, 2010, at the age of 69 years, 4 months and 16 days.
Mr. Pulliam had lived in Dexter before moving to Essex, Missouri last year. He was retired from the Arvin-Meritor Company in Dexter. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.
Surviving are two sons, Bradley Joe Pulliam of Springfield, Missouri, William Pulliam of Bloomfield, Missouri; two daughters, Janet Marie Zimmerman of Silver Point, Tennessee, Shirley Jean Sandlin of Bloomington, Tennessee; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three brothers, George and Daniel Pulliam both of Grayridge, Missouri, Virgil Pulliam of Wappapello, Missouri; five sisters, Mary Northern of Dexter, Missouri, Laura Heppe, Kay Etherton and Ruth Teague all of Essex, Missouri, Betty Lampkin of Harrison, Arkansas. Other relatives and friends also survive.
Visitation will be Monday, August 9, 2010, after 10:00 AM at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Services will be held Monday, August 9, 2010, at 11:00 AM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Bro. Rick Breeden of Bloomfield, Missouri and Bro. Virgil Pulliam of Wappapello, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
