James Franklin Jarrell, the son of the late Lloyd Leslie and Pauline Wilburn Jarrell, was born in Pyletown, Missouri on September 20, 1939, and passed away at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on August 26, 2014, at the age of 74 years, 11 months and 5 days.
Mr. Jarrell had lived in Arizona for many years and moved to Dexter in 1973. He had owned Heartland Industries, a recycling business. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy.
On September 12, 1960, he was married to Gayle Clayton in Dexter, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Gayle Jarrell of Dexter; one son & daughter in law, James F., I & Lisa Jarrell, of Dexter; three grandchildren and wife, Josh & Whitney Jarrell, Ashleigh and Caitlin Armstrong; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Karen Lehmkuhl and Gerri Kamper. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Andrew James Jarrell.
Friends may call on Friday, August 29, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
