James Alan Jarrell of Bloomfield, Missouri the son of the late LD and Nellie W. (Layton) Jarrell was born in Bloomfield, Missouri, on January 15, 1956, and passed away on September 21, 2022, at the age of 66 years.
James lived in the Bloomfield area all of his life and was of the Baptist Faith. He loved fishing and hunting, loved being outdoors and trading vehicles. James also loved spending time with his grand kids.
He was united in marriage to Susan Diane (Nelson) in 1988 in Bloomfield, Missouri.
James is survived by his wife; two sons, Robert Don Christian of Dexter, Missouri, Don (Freda Mae) Christian of Jackson, Missouri; three daughters, Christal (Matt) Thomas of O'Fallon, Missouri, Christi (Martin) Bass of Dexter, Missouri, and Lori (Billy) Anderson of Dexter, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Larry (Tina) Jarrell of Puxico, Missouri, Clifton (Kathy) Jarrell of Sikeston, Missouri; three sisters, Ellen Clifton of Bernie, Missouri, Linda Jarrell of Sikeston, Missouri, and Debbie (Roy) Pullum of Dexter, Missouri. A host of family and friends also survive.
James was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Pastor John McCain of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow at Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri, with Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter in charge of all arrangements.
