James Everette Hawkins, son of the late James William and Eula Belle Durham Hawkins, was born in Dyersburg, Tennessee on April 1, 1928 and passed away at his home in Parma, Missouri on May 18, 2009, at 81 years, 1 month and 17 days.
Mr. Hawkins was a life long resident of Parma, Missouri. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are one brother, Paul Kenneth Hawkins Meador of Camp Verde, Arizona, his niece, Phyllis Hamman of Rockwood, Tennessee; honorary nieces & nephews, Janet Morris of Malden, Missouri, Lenora Barnett and Nancy Wagner both of Arkansas, Doris Parks and Brenda Adams both of Louisiana, Roger Reeves of Georgia, Raymond Reeves of Malden, Missouri, Rockie Reeves of Clarkton, Missouri, and Ricky Reeves of New Madrid, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by three brothers, J.C., Robert and Fred Hawkins; and three sisters, Colleen Proffitt, Christine Dukas and Margaret Inman.
Friends may call on Thursday May 21, 2009, at 2:00 P.M. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma, Missouri.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2009, at 3:00 PM at the Parma Cemetery in Parma, Missouri with Bro. Dale Melton of Parma, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Parma Cemetery in Parma, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
