Jack Doublin passed away Sunday August 30, 2020 at the Puxico Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Puxico, Missouri. Jack was 83, and a lifetime resident of the Puxico area. Jack was born July 21, 1937, to Bedford and Mabel (Travers) Doublin. Jack married Ruth Fortner of Bloomfield on April 18, 1958, and they were together over 59 years until Ruth's passing. In 1954 while a junior in high school, Jack started working for his sister Gertrude, and brother-in-law, Lynn Holloway at B & M Auto Parts, and he & Ruth would eventually become the owners of it and Lynn Gas Company. Jack became known throughout Southeast Missouri for his automotive knowledge, and most everyone knew if they couldn't find the part they needed anywhere else, he probably had it. Jack was also devoted fan of Puxico Indian basketball, and for as many years as he was able, he could be found at most games encouraging and cheering the boys on. Jack is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Dana and Mark McCallister of Qulin, MO, and grandson, Ryan McCallister of Dexter, MO. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews whom he cared very deeply for. Jack is preceded death by his wife, Ruth, on November 11, 2017, and daughter, Paula Doublin on November 1, 2019. He was also preceded in death by sisters Gertrude Holloway and Wanda Cooper, brothers, Kenneth (Pete) Doublin, Willie (Lee) Doublin, and nephew Clyde Doublin.
