Iva Mae Gibson, daughter of the late Jentry James and Maudie Alice Weekly Chapman, was born in Farmington, Missouri on September 21, 1918, and passed away at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Missouri on July 21, 2009, at the age of 90 years and 10 months.
Mrs. Gibson had lived most of her life in the Dexter area, but had spent several years in Washington and moved back to Dexter in 1985. She had worked in a apple packing house in Washington and had worked at the Hat Factory in Dexter. She was a member of the Second General Baptist Church in Dexter, Missouri.
On July 31, 1935, she was married to Floyd "Dolph" Gibson in Dexter, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 9, 2006.
Surviving are one son, Cloyd E. Gibson of Bernie, Missouri; two daughters, Iva Jean Tippen of East Wenatchee, Washington, Margaret Ann McKinny both of Wenatchee, Washington; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; fourteen great great grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survives. She was preceded in death by one son, Floyd D. Gibson, four brothers, Alonza, charley, Harley and Lee Ray Chapman, and one sister, Velma Leona Chapman.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2009, at 1:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Vyron Yount of Chaffee, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
