Ira Dale Jones

Ira Dale "Gabby" Jones Ira Dale "Gabby" Jones, the son of the late Ira and Verna Sue Neighbors Jones, was born in Puxico, Missouri on December 22, 1945, and passed away at the Missouri Southern Healthcare Facility in Dexter, Missouri on September 4, 2005, at the age of 59 years, 8 months and 13 days. Mr. Jones had spent many years in Washington and California and returned to Puxico in 1999. He was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Puxico, Missouri. Surviving are three daughters, Jeanie Martin of Dry Prong, Louisiana, Julie Warren and Tammy Meadows both of Biloxi, Mississippi; nine grandchildren; two brothers, John and Ernest Jones both of Puxico, Missouri; three sisters, Pat Martin of Puxico, Missouri, Mary Tucker of Merced, California, and Beulah Norton of Troy, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Charley, Kennard, Paul, and Arzie Jones, and two sisters, Margie Conners and Lucille Lankford. Friends may call at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico on Wednesday, September 7, 2005, after 6:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2005, at 11:00 AM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with Bro. David Skinner of Puxico, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
